The Breakers Palm Beach is a historic Italian Renaissance-style Hotel. It was opened in 1896 by oil real estate  Henry Flagler to accommodate travelers on his Florida East Coast Railway. The wooden hotel burned in 1903 and was rebuilt a year later. Rooms started for a couple of dollars, including three meals a day. In 2018 rooms starting at $1,050 per night. The hotel features 538 rooms. The grounds featured a nine-hole golf course. The 200-foot-long main lobby, with its high-arched ceiling decorated with paintings, the vast Florentine decorated Dining Room, the magnificent North and South Loggias; and the shaded terraces and landscaped patios.  It remains one of the few, privately-owned resorts independent of chain affiliation. With their commitment, capital project expenditures of more than $30 million a year will continue to be reinvested in The Breakers for the long term, to ensure the resort remains energized and appealing to future generations.

You can envision a lavish garden party in one of their courtyards or an outdoor affair, using the ocean as your backdrop. The soaring 30-foot domed ceiling features eight oval fresco-painted murals depicting Renaissance landscapes with a hanging Venetian crystal chandelier. If you are getting married in Palm Beach County there simply is no other venue Through its 15-foot windows, The Circle Ballroom is a beautiful room that is a perfect location for cocktail receptions or extravagant dinners. It boasts a glimpse of spectacular ocean views. The soaring 30-foot domed ceiling features eight oval fresco-painted murals depicting Renaissance landscapes. A Venetian crystal chandelier hangs from a stylized gold-leaf sunburst. This beautiful room is a perfect location for luncheons, cocktail receptions, or extravagant dinners.

 

SUMPTUOUS WEDDING RECOMMENDATION

The Surf Break Lawn is a wonderful space for outdoor events. It is just steps from the ocean. It can host 300 guests to enjoy the soft ocean breeze and allows you to have fireworks. Note that you need to work with wedding suppliers who are listed at the resort. Although the circle ballroom is very popular, our favorite room is the Venetian Room, modeled after the loggias of Italian villas. It feels very historic.
