Outdoor Lebanese Wedding
For many foreign couples, it is a lifetime dream to get married in Paris. It is a unique chance for many girls to feel like princesses by celebrating their wedding in a Castle. This outdoor Lebanese Wedding is a great exemple. We are so lucky because France has an abundance of magnificent castles, from the grandest palaces to the tiniest, romantic places. Some of the most iconic sites have only ruins remaining, yet they carry a lot of history and make for a fantastic party venue.
This gorgeous Lebanese couple had come up with a medieval theme wedding. I was very excited after their outdoor Lebanese wedding planner presented me a mood board she worked on and presented the concept they had imagined together.
Remarkably, they were inspired by the movie Lords of the Rings and envisioned a path of wood with candles and moss, long wooden table, flags, and dark tablescape, costumed waiters, jugglers, and fire-twirler. We gladly accepted this new challenge for Sumptuous Events.

We had a chance to meet the couple and their parents while they were in Paris, as well as their lovely wedding planner. It was such a joy for us to join them on this unique journey. Moreover, it is typical for couples to hire one team for full-service wedding planning and design, but this time we all worked together. This outdoor lebanese wedding was amazing !

Finally, the sunny wedding day has arrived in mid-July, the high time of the French wedding season. We headed to the Caste of Valery, just one hour south of Paris. It is a precious Renaissance gem, yet with all modern facilities such as heated pool, flaming torches, and a sound system until dawn. Marshal Saint André and later the Princes and Princesses of Condé – who all repose forever in its church – made the castle of Vallery one the most alluring chateau in the world. In the novel “La Princesse of Clèves”,
The chateau was made as an eternal place of love and seduction.
We are proud to say that we managed to set up one of the longest tables ever to seat the 350 guests from Lebanon and abroad outside. The table was covered with a hopat of wood and twinkling lights and a long floral runner made of breathtaking seasonal fresh flowers from Kenya, Equator and of course, Netherlands. The night was so hot that we hoped that orchids and dahlia will remain fresh and stunning.
The amazing guests, and especially the ladies in their long gowns splendid gowns, made the whole reception more than magical by dancing beautifully and giggling around the fire. Last but not least, the guests enjoyed a mouth watering buffet full of delicious signature dishes of international cuisine. All to say, it was a beautiful rehearsal dinner to announce the beginning of a fascinating wedding weekend. Stay tuned to hear more about the destination weddings.
